Terms and Conditions

1. Overview

These Terms & Conditions govern participation in and contributions made to programs, initiatives, and offerings provided by The Talo Company. By making a contribution or engaging with our services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Purpose of Contributions

Contributions made through Talo programs, including but not limited to sustainability and environmental initiatives, are intended to support mission-driven efforts focused on conservation, energy solutions, and regional environmental resilience.

A portion of contributions may be directed to partner organizations, including the Friends of Great Salt Lake (FOGSL) nonprofit (“FOGSL”), to support the Great Salt Lake restoration and preservation efforts.

3. Fund Allocation

Where contributions are designated for environmental or charitable initiatives:

• Contributions will be transferred to FOGSL or other designated nonprofit partners, as applicable. 
• From total contributions received, administrative and marketing fees will be deducted by The Talo Company prior to transfer of funds. 
• The remaining net amount will be allocated to FOGSL to support its mission-driven work. 

Talo will use reasonable efforts to ensure transparency in allocation practices and may update fee structures as operational needs evolve.

4. Administrative & Marketing Fees

To sustain program operations, outreach, and campaign management, The Talo Company retains a portion of contributions as administrative and marketing fees. These may include costs associated with:

• Program administration 
• Campaign development and outreach 
• Payment processing and compliance 
• Marketing and donor engagement 
• Operational overhead 

Fee percentages or amounts may vary by program and will be disclosed where required.

5. No Guarantee of Impact

While Talo and its partners strive to maximize the effectiveness of all contributions, we do not guarantee specific environmental outcomes, timelines, or results.

6. Nonprofit Relationship Disclosure

FOGSL and other nonprofit partners operate as independent organizations. Contributions made through Talo are facilitated for convenience and coordination purposes and do not imply control over nonprofit governance or operations.

7. Refund Policy

Contributions are generally non-refundable once processed. Exceptions may be considered in cases of administrative error, duplicate transactions, or legal requirement.

8. Use of Funds

Funds are used solely for purposes consistent with Talo’s mission, including environmental sustainability initiatives, program development, and partner nonprofit support.

9. Modifications

Talo reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted with a revised effective date.
